When: Friday 13th of February 2015, welcome from 08:30 up to the social drink, closing at 19:30
Where: Main Building VU University Amsterdam (De Boelelaan 1105, Amsterdam).
The Earth Science Career Event is an event, which has been organised every other year since 1998, organised and hosted by Foundation of the Earth Science Career Event (Dutch abbreviation: SAL) in coöperation with the Royal Dutch Geological and Mining Society (KNGMG). The SAL is also part of GeoVUsie, the study association for Earth Sciences, Earth & Economics and Geo-archaeology at the VU University in Amsterdam.
This national career day is organised in order to bring companies and students in contact with each other, within the fields of geology, geotechnical engineering, physical geography, environment- and soil science, geo-archaeology, hydrology and GIS. We are convinced that it is important for students to get in touch with the labour market and potential future employers already during their studies.
A great variety of earth science-related companies have been approached and invited to this national career day, to help in their search for highly skilled employees. Furthermore, students, study associations and universities within the Netherlands and abroad are informed and invited to visit this dynamic and unique career event. In this way we try to bring students, alumni and companies together for a comprehensive career day that includes lectures, workshops and a business market.
We would like to welcome all related companies, associations and earth science students and teachers on Friday 13th of February 2015 in the Main Building of the VU University in Amsterdam!
If you are interested in participating in the Earth science career event with your company or individually, please contact us via email@example.com. For more information you can visit our website www.sald.nl. Visitors can enroll via the website in December.
