Our three key growth markets are energy, infrastructure and water (flood control, water management and maritime & ocean science). In this workshop we will look into one of Fugro’s growth markets: The development of offshore windfarms and the role of geoscientists (geologists, geophysicists, geotechnical engineers, GIS specialists) in this process. In the workshop you will work in small teams and use seismic cross-sections and geotechnical boreholes to identify locations where it is most feasible to build wind turbines, and to identify hazards for foundation installation and cable burial.
